Hilde Weingarten (American, born in Berlin)
Description
Hilde Weingarten has created a portrait of a woman in a girl in a Fauvist palette, using an interesting mix of geometrical and organic shapes, standing in front of what appears to be stained glass. Weingarten’s use of bold black lines resembles Georges Rouault’s famous stained-glass-inspired works.
