Cheryl Lichwell (Maine)
Description
We have all had to “bite our lips” when talking to someone to try to avoid being offensive in a conversation. Maybe we disagree with what is being said. Maybe we are dismayed by how someone is speaking. Maybe we realize that speaking out will do nothing to change someone else’s perceptions or views. In this work, Lichwell shows this impulse in physical form.
