Description
This self-portrait by Philip Evergood (sometimes seen with the title, “Sweet Self Portrait”) was printed in an edition of only 50 impressions for the Terry Dintenfass Gallery. Dintenfass was a prominent New York gallerist known for her dedication to her social realist artists like Evergood and Robert Gwathmey and African-American artists like Romare Bearden and Jacob Lawrence. At the time of the printing of this work, the gallery was located on West 67th Street.
