A rare signed proof of an archetypal Howard Mehring hard-edged silkscreen, in extraordinary condition, beautifully presented.
This work was used as the cover image for the large-format notice of the October 1970 exhibition, “Howard Mehring: Washington” at Gallery Heseler in Munich.
We know of no record of the edition size of this work. This is one of nine known Artist’s Proofs.

Excellent condition, without damage or flaw. Beautifully inked, crisp lines, and bright. Without scuffs or surface dirt; extraordinary like-new condition (though it is 70 years old).
