White Collar’d #3

$2,000.00

Description

Bill Harris chose to use engraving on plexiglass for this work, and the unique look and feel that that technique creates works beautifully with the commentary of this piece.  Drypoint scratching into a sheet of plexiglass leaves a burr–plastic scrapings on each side of the line. This burr holds a dense film of ink that prints as the characteristic rich, velvety black lines with a fuzzy appearance.  The burr wears away quickly, giving the artist but a handful of opportunities to make the work.
