Description

Seymour Chwast—a design legend—co-founded Push Pin Studios, where he led a revolution in graphic design in the 1960s and ’70s, producing bold, vibrant work that pushed the limits of nearly every visual medium. In 1987, Chwast partnered with Mohawk Paper Mills to create a campaign to introduce Mohawk’s new Nuance and Ultrafelt paper lines by reprinting 15 posters that Chwast designed in the 1970s and 80s.

This work, from that collection, was created to promote the array of talent represented by R. O. Blechman’s animation studio: Maurice Sendak, Ronald Searle, Andre Francois, Edward Sorel, Chas. B. Slackman, Chwast, and Jean-Michel Folon.

Under an oval-cut colorful black-core mat with a second window showing the emblem for Chwast’s studio. In a black Nielsen frame behind glass.
