Jerusalem, The Holy Sepulchre

$350.00

Description

Hanania Brothers were photo technicians on Jaffa Road in Jerusalem, generally thought to be in operation from the 1910s through the 1930s. In 1927 (according to Paris’ Musée d’Art et d’Histoire du Judaïsme), Hanania Brothers published a portfolio of photogravures (also known as héliogravure) from Yaakov Bendov’s photographs of Jerusalem. This work comes from that portfolio, which is now exceptionally rare.
