Description
An early woodblock print in black on vellum by the accomplished painter Connie Aronson. This work uses an innovative method of lightly painting the verso to add to the depth of the image on front.
Though the flowers are somewhat clumsily painted, it still makes an attractive and interesting work–perhaps more interesting because in its rough, bold strokes and strong monochrome pallet it is markedly different from the delicate brushstrokes of vivid colors that would predominate in her later work.
