Steve Sorman

Steven Sorman earned a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Minnesota in 1971—and he had his first solo show in 1970 even before graduating.  He would go on to have more than 85 solo shows, and countless group shows, over his lengthy career.

Sorman is a blue-chip artist, with work held by the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Walker Art Center, the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney, the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Gallery of Art, the Fogg Museum at Harvard University, the Australian National Gallery, the Stedlijk, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Smithsonian, the Tate, any many more.
